Ömer Kızılkaya

About

Hi, my name is Ömer. I am from Turkey, and I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Foreign Language Education and a B.S. in Computer Engineering as part of my dual degree program at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.

I am interested in education science, linguistics, mathematics, cybersecurity, and computer science. I believe that being interdisciplinary is crucial, as it broadens one's perspective and fosters connections between seemingly unrelated fields. I stay informed about these disciplines by regularly reading news and scientific articles.

I maintain a digital archive of global events that I find significant, including details such as text, videos, photos, and witness reports. It’s similar to journalism, but serves as a personal archive of important events to, hopefully, remind me about the “good old days” in the future. I may consider releasing this archive to the public in the future, though I have not made a final decision yet.

I am still undecided about my future career path, but I am particularly drawn to EdTech. Regardless of the direction I choose, my goal is to engage in a type of work that makes a positive impact on the world and its people. I would be honored to dedicate myself to such a purpose.
